A31 crash update: Man dies as a result of injuries

The man taken to hospital after the crash on the A31 Hog’s Back on 25 February sadly died yesterday (28 February).

At around 4.45pm we were called to the A31 westbound, just prior to the Shepherd and Flock roundabout, after four vehicles were in collision.

Two people were injured, the man driving a grey Nissan Navara, and a woman driving of a red Alfa Romeo, both were taken to hospital. The man sadly passed away due to his injuries. The woman is still in hospital and is in a stable condition.

A black Ford Focus and a Mercedes Lorry were also involved but the drivers were uninjured.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

We are investigating the circumstances of this incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
