Appeal after woman assaulted in Walton-on-Thames

We’re appealing for witnesses after a woman in her twenties was assaulted on New Zealand Avenue in Walton-on-Thames on Sunday evening (28 July).

At some point between 7:20pm and 7:45pm she was approached by three men she did not know close to Walton Bridge. One man grabbed her from behind around her waist and a second man slightly lifted her skirt. The woman struggled free and ran home, she was not hurt.

She described the first man as:

  • Black,
  • Aged in his early twenties.
  • Around 6ft tall.
  • He was wearing a black baseball cap, a grey Nike tracksuit, and white trainers.

She described the second man as:

  • White.
  • Aged in his early twenties.
  • Around 6ft tall.
  • He had short dark hair.
  • He was wearing a white t-shirt and black tracksuit trousers.

She described the third man as:

  • White.
  • Aged in his early twenties.
  • Around 6ft tall.
  • He was wearing a white baseball cap, a white collared top, and dark coloured jeans

Investigating officer PC Laura Ogilvie said: “We need your help to identify these three men. Did you see them around Walton Bridge on Sunday evening? Thankfully the victim was not hurt and we have not received any other similar reports in the area. Please call us if you can help”.
