Appeal following assault in Epsom.

We want to hear from three men following an assault in Epsom on Sunday (28 July) afternoon.

Officers received a report that at some point between 4pm and 4:30pm one of the three men was assaulted in Rosebery Park by a man they did not appear to know. We are keen to speak to these three men to establish what happened.

Witnesses described the three men as Australian. The man they were initially involved in a verbal dispute with was carrying a bottle and a screwdriver.

A 24 year-old man was arrested as part of our enquiries on suspicion of offences including; common assault, affray, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has been release from custody without charge, but remains under investigation.
