We are appealing for information regarding an attempted sexual assault in Woking that took place last Tuesday (7 May).

A man approached a 13-year-old around 6.40pm in the alleyway near Horsell Park and spoke to her. He also reached out to her but she ran off.

The man is described as black, mid-20s, 5ft 9 tall, of a chubby build with black hair shaved at the sides. He was wearing a dark blue long-sleeved hooded top and carrying a light grey bag.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Amy Stoneman said: “We are trying to establish the circumstances of the incident but this is potentially an extremely concerning incident and the victim did the right thing by running away.

“This appears to have been an isolated incident but I am keen for anyone who may have seen this man in the area to come forward and assist with our investigation.”
