Appeal for witnesses following fight and dangerous driving in Guildford

News   •   Jul 07, 2019 19:05 BST

We are appealing for witnesses following a fight between two groups in Guildford in the early hours of this morning (July 7).

Officers were called to Onslow Street following reports of a fight between two small groups of men at around 3.15am.

One group left the area in a white van which came close to hitting pedestrians. Three men were arrested a short time later.

Investigating officer PC Phil Dagnall said: “At this time of night the town centre would have been busy with people leaving clubs and bars and we have no doubt many would have witnessed what happened.

“If you saw what happened in the build up to this, or have any footage from your mobile phone for instance, please get in touch with immediately as we need to establish exactly what’s happened in this case.”

The three men have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, being in possession of offensive weapons, dangerous driving and drink driving.

Anyone with any information should contact Surrey Police on 101 and quote the reference number PR/45190070795.
