Did you witness a robbery in Redhill last night?

We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at Londis on St Annes Drive, Redhill yesterday evening (8 January).

At approximately 9.30pm, an unknown man was seen loitering outside the store, before entering the premises and approaching the cashier.

Detective Constable Alice Button, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the robbery at Londis on St Annes Drive. The suspect demanded alcohol and cigarettes from the cashier who he was threatening with a weapon.

“The man is believed to have turned right, and then right again after he left the store on a pushbike. If you think you may have seen this man leave the store, or in the area nearby, please come forward.”

The suspect is described as white, wearing dark clothing with a white logo on the left trouser leg, balaclava, and carrying an Adidas backpack.
