Do you recognise this jewellery? Appeal following high value burglary in Wentworth

News   •   Mar 07, 2019 14:31 GMT

We have released some images of distinctive jewellery which was part of a haul stolen after burglars broke into a house in Wentworth in September.

We are continuing to appeal for any information following the daring raid, which took place at an address on Portnall Rise on 26 or 27 September 2018.

Thieves escaped with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and thousands of pounds worth of cash after breaking in to the master bedroom and stealing a safe.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including speaking to witnesses, forensic examinations, house to house enquiries and checking CCTV, but have not managed to identify the suspects.

They are releasing photographs of some of the jewellery in the hope that it will prompt someone who may, for example, have been offered some of the items for sale, to come forward with information which could progress their investigation. Officers are also asking anyone who might have noticed something suspicious in the area at the time to come forward, although appreciate some time has passed since then.

The victim’s insurance company has also offered a £10,000 reward for any information which leads to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the suspect(s).
