Have you been offered a computer in suspicious circumstances?

News   •   Aug 02, 2019 15:41 BST

Officers investigating the handling of stolen computers are asking the public for their help in tracking the laptops and desktops down.

We believe that a number of HP and Lenovo computers, which were stolen from a warehouse in Kent, may be in the Surrey area.

As part of our enquiries, a 33-year-old from Lingfield was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods on 20 July. He was interviewed and subsequently released under investigation.

We are now asking the public to get in touch with us if they, or someone they know, have been sold or offered a Lenovo or HP computer in suspicious circumstances in the last month.

Anyone with information please call 101 immediately, quoting crime reference number PR/45190076225.

You can also give information, 100% anonymously, to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111; or through their anonymous online form: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/.
