We are appealing for a cyclist involved in a collision with a car on the A25 yesterday evening (4 August) to make themselves known to police as we are concerned for their welfare.

The collision happened on the A25 Epsom Road, Guildford at 10.14pm between the Merrow Park & Ride and the A247.

The rider of the bicycle left the scene on foot and was heading towards Guildford. Despite an extensive search of the area we were unable to locate them in order to check on their condition.

The rider is described as white, approximately in his 40s, 5ft10in tall and of a slim build.

The driver of the car was uninjured and no arrests have been made.

Investigating officer, PC Stephen O’Shea said: "It is important we speak to the cyclist as soon as possible, as they may require serious medical attention.

“I'd urge anyone who suspects that someone they know could be the cyclist - perhaps they have come home with unexplained injuries - to contact us as a matter of urgency.”

If you are the rider, or you know who the rider is, we urge that you to make yourself known to Surrey Police.

Anyone with any information, including if you have CCTV or dashcam footage around the time of the incident, should contact Surrey Police on 101 and quote the reference number PR/45190082080.
