News   •   May 13, 2019 16:57 BST

We are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed by three men in a multi-storey car park in Staines-upon-Thames this morning (13 May).

The men assaulted him before making off with a bag containing a large amount of jewellery. The incident took place sometime between 7.30 and 8.30am.
The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident and has been taken to hospital.
Part of the multi-storey car park remains closed whilst we carry out further enquiries.
North Surrey Detective Inspector Ria Holmes said: “The jewellery which was taken was made by an American company called Le Vian. All the pieces are marked with the Le Vian brand. We would urge anyone who is offered this jewellery to come forward as a matter of urgency.
“The victim has suffered serious injuries following this violent incident and we are extremely keen to trace those responsible.
“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry but would be keen to talk to anyone who was in or around the car park at the time of the offence.”
